LONDON, Ont. - Anthony Stolarz stopped 37 shots as the London Knights blanked the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-0 in Ontario Hockey League action on Thursday. Ryan Rupert had a goal and an assist for London (45-13-5), and Brett Welychka, Chris Tierney and Josh Anderson also scored. Matt Rupert and Brady Austin chipped in with two assists apiece. Matt Murray made 44 saves for Sault Ste. Marie (40-17-6) in the losing effort. Both teams were 0 for 2 on the power play. --- WHALERS 4 ICEDOGS 3 ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Matt Mistele scored his 17th goal of the season at 17:56 of the third period to lift the Whalers over the IceDogs. Mistele, Yannick Rathgeb and Francesco Vilardi had a goal and an assist apiece, and Ryan Hartman also scored for Plymouth (26-31-7). Carter Verhaeghe had a goal and an assist for Niagara (21-34-8), while Luke Mercer and Eric Ming rounded out the IceDogs offence. Whalers goalie Alex Nedejkovic made 21 saves for the win. Niagaras Brent Moran turned aside 19-of-23 shots in the loss. --- BATTALION 8 BULLS 1 NORTH BAY, Ont. — Nick Paul scored twice and Brett McKenzie had a goal and two assists to power the Battalion past the Bulls. Mathew Santos and Zach Bratina each scored one and assisted on another, and Miles Liberati, Brenden Miller and Ben Thomson also scored for North Bay (32-24-6). Jake Smith stopped 25 shots for the Battalion, who snapped a two-game slide. Chad Heffernan had the lone goal for Belleville (20-37-6). Michael Giuogavaz started in net for the Bulls but left the game after allowing two goals on 13 shots through 22:22. Charlie Graham stopped 12-of-18 shots in relief. --- SPIRIT 8 SPITFIRES 3 WINDSOR, Ont. — Eric Locke scored twice and Jesse Graham and Justin Kea had three assists apiece as the Spirit downed the Spitfires. Luke Cairns had a goal and an assist, and Sean Callaghan, Dylan Sadowy, Kristoff Kontos, Jimmy Lodge and Cody Payne also scored for Saginaw (31-27-5). Josh Ho-Sang had a goal and an assist for the Sting (16-40-7), and Brody Milne and Remy Giftopoulos also scored. Spirit netminder Jake Paterson made 27 saves for the victory. Sarnias Alex Fotinos of was the busier of the two goalies, stopping 35 shots in the loss. --- PETES 5 FRONTENACS 4 (OT) PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Nick Ritchie scored his 36th goal of the season in regulation, and added his 37th in overtime to lift the Peters over the Frontenacs. Stevn Lorentz, Stephen Nosad and Michael Clark also scored for Peterborough (30-28-5), which was outshot 49-26. Andrew DAgostini made 45 saves for the Petes fourth win in a row. Robert Polesello, Henri Ikonen, Lawson Crouse and Conor McGlyn replied for Kingston (34-22-6). Matt Mahalak started in net for the Frontenacs but left the game after allowing four goals on 18 shots. Lucas Peressini stopped 7-of-8 shots he faced in relief. --- COLTS 5 ATTACK 4 BARRIE, Ont. — Brendan Lemieux scored twice and Garrett Hooey scored the winner at 14:59 of the third period as the Colts edged the Attack. Aaron Ekblad had a goal and two assists, and Andreas Anthanasiou rounded out the offence for Barrie (34-27-3), who scored three unanswered goals in just under 15 minutes in the final period to secure its victory. Hooey also added an assist for a two-point night. Zach Nastasiuk and Kurtis Gabriel had a goal and an assist apiece for Owen Sound (28-27-8), and Daniel Milne and Kyle Hope also scored. Brandon Hope made 33 saves. Mackenzie Blackwood started in net for Barrie but was pulled after giving up three goals on six shots through 22:41. Daniel Gibl stopped 15-of-16 shots in relief.
