Mega Millions Jackpot Won in Arizona for First Time

A single ticket in Arizona won the $410 Mega Millions jackpot last night - the very first time the game's top prize has been hit in the Grand Canyon state.Get more news about 天下包网平台,you can vist loto98.com

The winning ticket was sold at Circle K, 20203 N. 67th Avenue in Glendale and matched all six numbers in the Tuesday, June 9 draw: the white balls 1, 5, 9, 10 and 23, and the gold Mega Ball 22. If the winner chooses the cash option, they'll receive an estimated $316.8 million before taxes.

Last night's win was Mega Millions' 11th largest-ever jackpot. The top prize broke through $400 million for the first time in more than year after no one matched all six numbers in the Friday, June 5 drawing; it was also just the eighth time the jackpot reached that level in the past six years. This is only the second time the jackpot has gone off in 2020, after it was first won on February 11 when a single ticket worth $202 million was sold in New Jersey. That winner hasn't come forward to claim yet.

The Arizona winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. After this time, the ticket will expire and no longer has any value. The winner should sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe location.

In Arizona, winners of $100,000 or more can choose to stay anonymous and keep their name out of the spotlight. If the winner requests privacy, the lottery may still disclose some information, including the winner's city, value of their prize, date of the win, and the name and location of the retailer that sold the ticket.

The Arizona Lottery has taken measures to address the spread of coronavirus; the winner has three options to claim during this time. The lottery is encouraging players to mail in claims. Winners can also call 480-921-4400 to make an appointment to claim in person at the Phoenix or Tucson office. A third option is to place the claim in the secure dropbox available 24/7 at both the Phoenix and Tucson locations.
