Took a quick 3 day weekend trip out with my coworker. Stopped at Cisco for the night and then headed on in. Stopped at Potash road by the Indian writing. Hiked up to Corona Arch, flew the drone around, drank a few beers. My coworker took a timelapse with his gopro under the arch.

We then headed up Poison spider late in the day, got up to the wedge before deciding we only had an hour of light left and wanted to find a campsite. Turned around and headed back towards Corona Arch and camped at the BLM campground there.

My #1 Photo tip to anyone out there trying to take outdoors photos, use a Polarizer!

No polarizer:

I paint hands on my vehicle when I'm passing through town at matrimony spring, its a tradition of mine to place some red handprints on during the trip:

I got Matt to do the same:

Day 2:

After camping at the BLM campground we ran into town and the got traditional breakfast of fried chicken and cinnamon rolls to be shared on the trail. Pulled up to the trailhead, pounded a few beers, ate the chicken and cinnamon roll, and started climbing to funnel arch.

Funnel arch is a small arch right off kane creek road, its a very shot hike but has lots of vertical ascent, including one particularly hard wedge to climb up.

Apparently from this saddle you can hike up above the arch and climb a fin all the way back to overlook moab!

This rock is just off kane creek road, called "birthing scene" rock. Has a ton of petroglyps on it.

Left that area and drove out to mineral bottom to make camp for the night.

So at the end of Day 2 we made camp down at mineral bottom, turns out right next to our camp was the perfect natural shooting range. Away from the road, big backdrop, berms on either side, someone even piled up a dirt berm in the middle to set targets on.

Shot some cans, Matt took a slow mo from his phone with the last two rounds I had. Wanted to do it again in the morning with the next 100 rounds I but was too hungover. Had to stop that night because it was about to get dark.

Day 3: we went and toured a uranium mine, I've been in before but its always a fun time. Took a couple of freeriders LED pods in with us to light up the mine like the day sun, they worked really well with a power pack in a backpack.

I've posted photos before but I took a couple of new ones, explored deeper, and Matt got to take some videos with his gopro. I went really deep this time, all the way back in, where its wet and muddy.

Lights are actually so bright they make getting a photo to develop correctly.

Matt was having a great time, **** eating grin the whole trip.

I wanted to fly the drone along this road as we drove up. But it was super windy and overcast, I feared for the drone, so we skipped it and headed out.
